Overwatch x Pokémon: Team Rocket - Collab Skin Concept Art

In the early days of Overwatch I thought of a fun parallel between the Jessie & James from Pokémon and Widowmaker & Reaper... both duos being an ''evil faction'' of their respective series. Jessie x Widowmaker was always a perfect match in my opinion... visually at least, but never done anything with it... until now! Many years later, now with Overwatch Collaboration skins officially existing, it's a great time to finally realizing this combo.
Happy with Widowmaker X Jessie, doing James was a must. But instead of Reaper, I chose Lifeweaver (with an helpful suggestion from my community / followers), abandoning the whole Team Rocket X Talon parallel. But Lifeweaver fits so much better for James than Reaper, but visually and personality-wise.
For Lifeweaver X James skin, I wound ideally just implemented Victreebel features to this skin, which is a perfect match to Lifeweaver's Nature-ask / flower-y design, maybe using Cacnea (another James' recognizable Pokémon)... but having Arbok for Jessie X WM, and not having Weezing for James X LW felt wrong.
I didn't originally include Meowth, since I wanted to portray only human characters, but this specific Pokémon is such a signature character of the Rocket Team trio (the Anime treat him as a human character anyway)... so I reconsidered. And Hammond / Wrecking Ball was picked for Meowth skin.
Since my idea for this was very similar to my recent (2024) ''Wrecking Ball X Pikachu+Pokéball'' concept, I ended up re-using the art, replacing Pikachu with Meowth. And to make it more Rocket Team, I edited the Pokéball to the ''Rocket's Pokéball'' - an homage / easter egg to the Pokémon Trading Card game.
